Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is better than its predecessor in many ways, and for the most part carries the same amount of fun, charm, and poignant emotion as the first movie. Video game fans will love to see their favorite characters lovingly re-enacted on the big screen, especially as the fun characters Tails and Knuckles joins Sonic, and not to forget Jim Carrey's wonderful performance. Unlike the first part of the movie, the second part comes with many touching and appropriate messages for children; the most important one is friendship. The 2-hour movie length may not be suitable for kids and is considered a lot of time for them, but overall it offers a fun, funny and action packed ride that fully embraces the roots of video games.
