Season overview

The events of the series take place in Damascus in the 70s of the last century where it follows three young men, who marry three girls from different backgrounds, and how everything changes over the years.

Grace's family stands against her after her decision to marry Meshaal. Badr refuses to give up his girlfriend, Juliet, even though his older brother Hilal does not approve of the relationship.
Aida ran away from her aunt's house to marry Saeed, as well as Juliet, to marry Badr. When Fadi finds out about their escape, he decides to take revenge.
Saeed marries Aida and Badr marries Juliet, but their marriages raises many problems among their families.
Juliet begins as the Minister's secretary. Aida discovers that she is pregnant and she is very happy, while Hilal receives news that his son is ill and needs treatment as soon as possible.
Juliet's father registers his property in the name of his daughter Laure and deprives Juliet of her inheritance after she escaped and got married to Badr. War breaks out in the country and as a result of the fighting, Saeed loses his hearing.
Professor Mukhlis offers to Meshaal to put him as the head of the Broadcasting Authority, even though he is Palestinian. Saeed agrees to put on the stethoscope in his ear after El khal persuaded him.
The cultural and social differences between Badr and Juliet are evident in a heated discussion between the two in front of their friends. Meanwhile, Grace plans to start a small business with her neighbor. Saeed takes over his new position after he got promoted.
Abu Fadi commits suicide due to his poor health and leaves his son and wife accused of killing him, so Om Fadi sends her niece Laure to ask Saeed for help. Badr travels to London and Juliet discovers that she is pregnant.
Laure sees a dream that she later feels troubled with. Badr gets a job for an Englishwoman in London and sends a gift to his wife Juliet.
Juliet tries to get rid of her baby by taking pills and wakes up in the hospital, while Badr tries hard to call her but she does not answer. Meshaal makes a bold move at work.
Meshaal was surprised to receive a letter from his managers thanking him for his work. Juliet tries to convince Laure to rethink her decision, while Badr tries to contact Juliet but he cannot reach her.
Juliet plans to invest a small amount of money to buy a better house, while Laure says goodbye to her parents. Hilal asks Badr to come home immediately.
Badr returns to his home and discovers that he has a daughter, so he leaves Juliet a letter, thinking that the child is not his. Later, Badr and Juliet's friends try to reconcile them, but they quarrel.
Juliet's father gets sick and she asks him to forgive her for what she did before he dies. Hilal gets in a big trouble and Saeed helps him, while Meshaal and Grace travel to Beirut.
Meshaal tries to reduce Grace's homesickness, so he suggests activities such as teaching music. Hilal asks for Saeed's help in his transfer to another governorate. Juliet's father feels very ill and he asks to see her.
Hilal is caught in some opposition groups' plot, and he gets shot and he is hospitalized. Later, his friend Dr. Jassim disappears. Hilal calls Saeed to ask for his help.
After her son had a seizure, Haifa takes Obaida to the doctor to check on his condition, and later she tries with Aida to console Juliet after she lost all her money in a money-investment company.
Hilal's condition worsen in prison and he discusses religion with opposition figures. Juliet has a stroke after losing her money. Saeed beats Aida because she helped Haifa.
El Khal orders to transfer Hilal from custody to another prison and to raid Fadi's house on charges of working on the black market. Meanwhile, Grace is worried about her brother George so she decides to visit him.
George tries to convince Grace to apply for immigration to Greece, but she refuses. Hilal's health worsens after he is sent to another prison, and there he meets Dr. Jassim.
Grace is trying to return to Lebanon, but she cannot because of the Israeli invasion to Lebanon. Aida tells Haifa that she can visit her husband Hilal in prison. While Saeed prepares himself to travel to Moscow.
Upon his return from London, Badr is shocked that his brother Hilal is in prison and that Juliet had a stroke. Aida and Laure say goodbye to Fadi, while Saeed travels to Moscow.
Juliet complains to Aida about Badr's frequent absence from home, and later she goes to university and she sees him with another girl. Two strange men try to harass Mai, George's daughter.
It turns out that Badr is having an affair with one of his students and he is lying to Juliet. George registers the house in Grace's name because he wants to travel abroad.
Aida collapses after learning that her brother Fadi is ill with AIDS. Badr advises Grace to undergo the operation abroad. General Hilal's friend tries to help him get out of prison after he was stabbed and taken to the hospital.
Fadi asks Aida to sell the house and his father's store and give the money to Laure. After Saeed suffers an assassination attempt, El Khal asks him to return home. Haifa tries to convince her son, Obaida, to complete his studies.
Meshaal talks to Grace about Badr and his travel to Kuwait after he lost his job. Badr goes to his house to say goodbye to his daughter Bisan, but he does not find her.
Obaida and Hilal travel to Damascus to visit Juliet and check on Badr and his conditions during the Kuwait-Iraq wars. While Grace undergoes the operation with Meshaal by her side.
Saeed decides to move to the village with his family, while Zafer and Sarab plot to escape from the house. Later, Saeed reveals secret information to his friend Aqeel that may end his life.
Grace adopts Meshaal's baby and she decides to leave him. Saeed takes Aida to the hospital after she tried to commit suicide. Juliet travels abroad, while Badr returns home.

Shashah Review

A Syrian drama that depicts political and social events and a group of stories from the seventies and eighties of the last century, far from the usual perspective portrayed in such a Syrian work. The actors performed professionally, highlighting the different aspects of each character, with their different characteristics and temperaments. In his last episodes, the series showed the characters' adaptation and coping with the problems of society.
