Overview

Set One hundred years after the events of Vikings, as tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and Pagan beliefs. For the fight of survival and glory, Leif, Freydis and Harald begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond. This will show the end of the Viking Age marked by the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

Season overview

Across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, Leif, Freydis and Harald begin an epic journey for survival and glory.

In order to avenge a massacre in England, Viking armies converge in Kattegat, but siblings Leif and Freydis exact a different kind of retribution.
While Queen Emma dispatches stepson Edmund to secure an ally's help, Leif agrees to join the siege of London in order to save the life of Freydis.
While Harald and Leif seek a route through the marshes near London, Freydis and her party get savagely attacked.
As Leif proposes an audacious assault on London, Emma and Godwin fear their brash and headstrong boy-king, Edmund, will be too reckless to defeat.
While Leif is hailed as a hero, Schemes, betrayals and politics rule the day as a new monarch takes the throne of England.
While Canute solidifies his power in England, Freydis returns to Kattegat and joins a sacred order.
As Kattegat prepares its defenses, Olaf makes a pact with Kare. Meanwhile, Canute's father shares England's throne with Edmund in his absence.
While Olaf and Kare gather their forces to invade Kattegat, Palace intrigue over control of England's throne results in an unexpected turn of events.

Shashah Review

A pleasant surprise from Netflix for all Vikings fans. A new series inspired by the original series, as a new generation of legendary fighters appears one hundred years later, where the previous characters are mentioned a lot, which will please fans of that series.

This season begins with fiery action and ends with an unexpected shocking ending with a very good twisted plot that will keep you excited for the upcoming seasons, but the events pace in the middle is erratic at times, but this will not prevent all Vikings fans from enjoying the return of this beloved atmosphere.

As the atmosphere was perfect with massive fights scenes and good one-on-ones combat encounters which were at the usual Vikings fights level, and the acting is good from most of the cast for characters who look like we're going to love and get attached to in the coming seasons.

You do not need to watch the previous series to watch this one, if you are a fan of historical wars and Scandinavian myths; You should follow this interesting series from its beginning.
